Philly Restaurants Make Strong Showing in OpenTable's Top 100

OpenTable users have spoken, and it looks like the Philadelphia area is tops when it comes to dishing out quality restaurants (and, yes, dishes), as 12 local restaurants have made the reservation and review website's annual list of the best restaurants in the United States.

The annual Diners' Choice Awards list of Top 100 Fit for Foodies Restaurants in America, showcased restaurants with “unique menus, easygoing ambience and passionate chefs who have a ‘source local, cook global’ approach.” It included restaurants in only 29 states, based on more than 20,000 restaurants in all 50 states.

"In many ways, the winning restaurants represent the future — and the fun — of food, where trends are being set," Caroline Potter, OpenTable chief dining officer, said in a release. "The list features a multitude of gifted young chefs who are redefining fine dining and opening exciting establishments to serve delicious dishes that are both personal and playful."
