Philadelphia-based Comcast and a Toronto-based energy retailer announced Monday they will join forces to bring a new platform that utility service providers can then use with their own customers by the end of the year.
Crius Energy LLC and Comcast announced Monday a 5-year agreement that allows the two to use each other's existing technology and resources to offer an Integrated Energy Platform that combines electricity, natural gas, solar and other energy products to utility provides across the United States. Those providers will then be able to use the platform to show off a variety of energy products to their subscribers.
The two companies first launched a partnership two years ago with a private energy label brand.
(Comcast is the parent company of NBC10.)
