Sharon Stone Joins ‘Law & Order: SVU' For Guest Arc

Sharon Stone is reporting for duty as a guest star on NBC's "Law & Order: SVU," NBC has confirmed to Access Hollywood.

Stone, 51, will hit the popular drama – starring Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni — as a police officer-turned-prosecutor for four episodes starting in April.

"It is obviously a thrill and a delight to have a star of Sharon's wattage and importance joining 'SVU'," series creator Dick Wolf told Entertainment Weekly.

The guest arc marks a return to the small screen for Stone, who won an Emmy in 2004 for her guest spot on ABC's "The Practice."

She's also made appearances on such shows as Showtime's "Huff" and NBC's "Will & Grace."

Stone's last big screen role was in the 2007 drama "Alpha Dog," starring Justin Timberlake. Her upcoming fims include the drama "Dirty Tricks," alongside Annette Benning, Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Pitt. The project is currently in development.

The actress joins a long list of stars who have lent their talents to guest roles on "Law & Order: SVU."

Among the other notable names who have made recent guest appearances are Robin Williams, Carol Burnett, Chris Elliot, Luke Perry and Cynthia Nixon.
