Zooey Deschanel Gets Apology From Closed Captioning Company After Boston Manhunt Snafu

Zooey Deschanel is getting an apology after her name accidentally appeared last week in a closed-captioning fail broadcast during Fox's coverage of the Boston Marathon bombing manhunt.

Kansas-based company Caption Solutions issued a statement yesterday to apologize to the "New Girl" star for the snafu.

According to the New York Daily News, the captioner "deeply regret[s]" accidentally typing her name during the broadcast (the exact phrase that appeared on the screen was "Marathon bombing, he is 19-year-old Zooey Deschanel").
