U2 Concert Canceled in Sweden Due to Security Breach

U2 canceled a concert in the Swedish capital of Stockholm after a security breach prompted police to evacuate the Globe Arena.

Stockholm Police spokesman Kjell Nildgren said they stopped Sunday's event because organizers reported a breach at the security check and ticket control points as spectators were entering the arena.

"They decided to stop the entrance for spectators and get the people out that had come inside in order to search the area, " Nildgren said Monday, adding that organizers believed the security checks had not been "done in the proper way."

"We are investigating a crime against Swedish weapon laws," Nildgren said, adding that police had not found any suspicious "persons or objects yet."

The concert was rescheduled for Tuesday.

In a statement on U2's website, organizers apologized for the inconvenience, saying the audience's "safety is the priority."
