Sochi Day 15: What to Watch

The U.S. men's hockey team takes on Finland in the bronze medal game, while Ted Ligety competes in the final Alpine event of the Games

It might not be the game U.S. hockey fans were hoping to watch, but after losing to Canada, the U.S. men's team faces off Saturday again Finland for the bronze.

Meanwhile, Ted Ligety competes in men's slalom -- the final Alpine skiing event of the Games--bobsledder Steven Holcomb attempts to defend his title in the four-man race, and snowboarding concludes with the debut of men's and women's parallel slalom.

12:30 a.m. ET: Catch up on Friday's highlights with NBC's late-night recap of the women's speed skating team pursuit. Keep watching at 1:30 a.m. ET to catch (or re-watch) Mikaela Shiffrin's gold medal slalom run, short track and speed skating.

For an early start on Saturday's Sochi action, tune in to the men's and women's snowboarding parallel slalom qualifiers here. These are the last snowboarding events of the games, with finals getting underway at 5:40 a.m. ET. American Justin Reiter will face fellow American-born snowboarder Vic Wild, who competes for Russia. Wild recently won a gold in the parallel giant slalom, while his Russian-born wife Alena Zavarzina took the bronze in the women's event.

7:45 a.m. ET: The Alpine skiing competition comes to a close with men's slalom. Ted Ligety who recently became the first American to win gold in the giant slalom is racing, though he is not among those favored to win. He will be joined by fellow teammates David Chodounsky and Nolan Kasper. Click here to watch the first of two runs. Tune in here at 11:15 a.m. ET for the second and final run of the event. 

8:30 a.m. ET: The U.S. has been shut out of speed skating medal contention and will not be competing in either the men's or women's team pursuit. Tune in here, however, to see the dominant Dutch go for yet another speed skating gold in the men's event against South Korea. The Netherlands takes on Japan while Russia goes up against Poland in the women's semifinal round. 

9:30 a.m. ET: The biathlon wraps up with the 4x7.5k team relay. Norway's record-busting star Ole Einar Bjoerndalen will compete with his team for what would be his 9th career gold or 14th career medal. Tune in here.

10 a.m. ET: The U.S. men's hockey team takes on Finland for the bronze after a disappointing loss to the Canadians on Friday. Watch live here or on the NBC Sports Network.

11:30 a.m. ET: Steven Holcomb is back on the bobsled track for the four-man race after becoming, along with teammate Steve Langton, the first American to win a medal in the two-man bobsled competition. The pair took the bronze in that event and now attempt to defend the USA's four-man Olympic title against teams from Russia, Britain, Latvia and Germany. Watch the first two runs live here. The competition wraps up on Sunday.

8 p.m. ET/7C: NBC prime time replays highlights from the slalom, parallel slalom snowboarding, four-man bobsled and speed skating competition.
