‘SNL' Sends ‘Love and Support' to Paris After Terror Attacks

The comedy sketch show started on a serious note with words of support to France a day after a suspected group of extremists coordinated the worst attacks on the country since World War II by Nazis.

"Paris is the city of light and here in New York City we know that light will never go out. Our love and support is with you tonight," Cecily Strong said in both English and French during the show's introduction.

Paris was stormed by shootings and explosions that targeted people eating in a cafe, concert-goers watching a California rock band perform and fans cheering at a French-German soccer game. The orchestrated attacks left 129 killed, including one California student and 352 wounded—99 people are in critical condition.

Cities around the world lit up monuments with blue, white and red to show support for France.
