Michelle Obama, Ellen DeGeneres Congratulate Robin Roberts for Coming Out as Gay

Robin Roberts is getting lots of love from celebrities after coming out as gay yesterday.

Earlier Monday, First Lady Michelle Obama took to Twitter to congratulate Roberts and her girlfriend of 10 years Amber Laign, writing, "I am so happy for you and Amber! You continue to make us all proud. -mo."

Ellen DeGeneres also tweeted a sweet message to Roberts. "Good morning, America! Congratulations, @RobinRoberts," the funnylady posted today.

Wanda Sykes, a fellow out celeb comedian, also posted, "Good morning @RobinRoberts 'Go on with your bad self!' Xoxo."

On Sunday, Roberts shared a heartfelt message with fans via Facebook in which she came out and made a special shout out to Laign. "At this moment I am at peace and filled with joy and gratitude," Roberts wrote. "I am grateful to God, my doctors and nurses for my restored good health. I am grateful for my sister, Sally-Ann, for being my donor and giving me the gift of life. I am grateful for my entire family, my long time girlfriend, Amber, and friends as we prepare to celebrate a glorious new year together."

After her announcement, several celebs shared messages with Roberts through social media. Russell Simmons tweeted, "Sending good thoughts to Robin Roberts. #LoveIsLove."

And country singer Chely Wright, who came out back in 2010, wrote, "Big love and respect to you, @RobinRoberts ! #equality #pride."
