‘Arrow' Star Stephen Amell Takes Down Homophobic Trolls

The actor got comments like "Stupid gay pride" after he posted pictures from his visit to the Vancouver Pride Parade

"Arrow" star Stephen Amell doesn't need a costume to act like a hero.

Amell took down trolls after homophobic comments appeared on his Facebook page in the wake of his visiting the Vancouver Pride Parade on Sunday. He shared photos from the event, posing on a rainbow sidewalk with his wife, Cassandra Jean, and wearing balloon peacock feathers.

While most of the comments on the actor's page were positive, some people were apparently offended by the pride on display and offered homophobic comments.

"Stupid gay pride," one user wrote.

"By doing this, you are disrupting the common sense created by God," another read.

"Had more respect for you before these posts," another commented.

On Monday, Amell addressed the trolls in a Facebook post, expressing support for the LGBTQ community and criticizing the negative commenters as being on "the wrong side of history."

"I had a fantastic weekend in Vancouver with my wife and friends, met some terrific people and more than anything just tried to soak in all the positive energy from people living their best lives," the "Arrow" actor wrote. "If I'm in Vancouver next year I won't just go back, I'll walk in the parade."

Later, Amell posted a photo to his #MemeMonday 2017 album featuring captions plastered on the photos from the parade he had previously posted.

"Don't like it? Don’t care," the meme caption reads.
