Tyra Banks Reacts To ‘Top Model' Weekend Try-Outs Fracas

A stampede may have broken out in New York City over the weekend after someone allegedly started a bomb scare while thousands waited for a "Top Model" audition, but Tyra Banks said the try-outs will go on.

In a statement released to Access Hollywood, "Top Model" producer and host Tyra Banks said the reality show is working hard to get all of the hopefuls a chance to audition.

"To all the 'Top Model' hopefuls who were affected by the New York casting, we are doing everything we can to make sure that ALL the girls who weren't seen, get an opportunity to audition," Tyra said in the statement. "We'll update you on our plans very soon."

On Sunday, three people were arrested, and at least six others were hurt, after a stampede broke out after a smoking car pulled up alongside thousands of hopefuls and someone reportedly yelled, "There's a bomb!"

"All of a sudden these girls just fell," Kiara McCarthy, an eyewitness, told Access Hollywood of the stampede that followed.

"Some girls got hurt," she added. "It was scary."

In addition to the scare, McCarthy said she was disappointed the incident ruined her chances over the weekend to try-out for "Top Model."
