Farrah Fawcett isn't 86 pounds, as previously reported -- her doctor claims she clocks in at a healthier 101.

Farrah Fawcett's doctor refuted claims Tuesday that she's down to a skeletal 86 pounds, saying that she clocks in at a healthier 101 pounds and is trying to gain more weight.

Fawcett's son, Redmond O'Neal, said last week in a court hearing for drug-related charges that his "Charlie's Angels" star mom weighed less than 90 pounds, prompting national concern about the actress' health.

Her doctor, Lawrence Piro, told Us magazine Tuesday that Fawcett isn't that thin and that she's maintaining "a reasonable weight."

The star, 62, has been battling anal cancer for three years and has been in and out of hospitals for the past month as her condition continues to worsen.

Piro said the weight loss Fawcett's suffering is a standard symptom among cancer patients.

"She's continuing to eat and trying to gain weight," Piro said. "It's a struggle that all cancer patients go through."

Fawcett has led a "very healthy lifestyle" that Piro said could help the effectiveness of potential treatments.

Despite a bleak outlook, Fawcett is maintaining a positive attitude about her health and is staying mentally strong as she gets physically weaker, Piro said.

"She's continuing to fight the battle," he said.
