According to the BBC, several hundred Jackson fans held a vigil at the O2 Arena in London, playing his music and holding candles in remembrance of the King of Pop.
"I've come here to celebrate his life and I want to feel a bit closer," Alison Pyman, 27, from Cleethorpes, told the BBC. "We've been reminiscing and sharing memories with everyone. When more people arrive there will quite a party atmosphere."
Though most are still heartbroken by the singer's death, they attempted to remain positive and celebratory.
"We should have been going to the concert but we're standing here instead," Jester Hauton, 31, from Copenhagen, said. "The main thing is a celebration of Michael."
