Larry David: Michael Richards Is ‘Like A New Man’

Michael Richards is "like a new man," three years after drawing backlash for a racist rant during a stand-up performance, according to Larry David.

In an interview with Showbiz 411's Roger Friedman, the "Whatever Works" star said that Michael has changed in the wake of his now infamous stand-up evening gone wrong at the Laugh Factory in Hollywood in November 2006, in which Richards used the N-word repeatedly.

"He really went through something [with that incident]," Larry said. "He used to be very angry and bitter. He's completely different now. You can see it, and he can feel it. I'm very happy for him."

Richards will reunite with "Seinfeld" castmates Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander and Jerry Seinfeld on the upcoming season of Larry's "Curb Your Enthusiasm," where the foursome will reportedly appear in about half the episodes.

It'll be the first TV reunion for the stars of "Seinfeld," which aired its final episode in May 1998. The quartet has gone on to a number of projects since, including Jerry's "Bee Movie" and Julia's "The New Adventures of Old Christine."
