JoBros Mom On Sons' Love Lives: ‘They Have Desires'

Leave it to the Jonas Brothers' mom, Denise, to embarrass her superstar sons.

"They are men. They have desires. They have testosterone," the JoBros matriarch said in an interview for Good Housekeeping's July issue. "If they make a mistake, I'm not going to hate them. I don't think they're above or beyond being seduced."

The young stars are famous – and have caught flack from comics such as Russell Brand, and TV shows such as "South Park" – for their purity rings, which signify their stance on waiting until marriage before having sex. But their mom said they don't deserve the jokes.

"They've been criticized for proclaiming things they never proclaimed. And what's the criticism?" Denise said. "They don't want to go out there giving everyone an STD? What's so terrible about that?"

Still, she admitted that the brother band's relationships have left some emotional after-effects.

"They have been hurt in relationships by girls," she said. "But it's just about growing up and learning what it means to be in a relationship."

Nick, 16, dated fellow Disney star Miley Cyrus and has been linked to Selena Gomez, while Joe, 19, was the target of a break-up song from ex Taylor Swift.

Despite his romantic drama, Joe has some sympathy for all the "Single Ladies." In a new YouTube video posted to help count down to the brother band's next album, "Lines, Vines & Trying Times," the middle JoBro dons a Beyonce-style black leotard and dances to the track for the song's full four minutes.
