Is one of film’s greatest living actresses, Meryl Streep, leaving the big screen for a quick guest spot on the small screen?
On Tuesday, The New York Daily News claimed in its Gatecrasher column, that “30 Rock” star Alec Baldwin had asked Meryl to guest star on the hit NBC comedy at Sunday’s SAG awards. And, the story claimed, Meryl had agreed.

However, Matthew Hiltzik, Alec’s rep, told Access Hollywood the rumor isn’t true.
“Alec and Ms. Streep did not discuss any guest appearance on ‘30 Rock,’’’ Alec’s rep told Access. “Perhaps someone confused the fact that they are shooting a film together this spring with something else.”

Alec and Meryl are slated to co-star in an upcoming, as-yet-untitled Nancy Meyers movie.
