When the reality of this sinks in, I realize I'm gonna be ON CAMERA. With the gorgeous Maria Menounos. What am I thinking? How about OMG! OMG! OMG! I"M GOING TO THE OSCARS - WHAT AM I GONNA WEAR!?!

GLAM SLAM readers know that I had a dress dilemma for the Golden Globes, which occurred just two weeks before my due date. Well, now I have a different dress dilemma! I gave birth to my baby girl two weeks ago… so now I need to find a way to dress my POST-BABY body, which presents a whole new set of challenges! I think SPANX is going to be my new best friend.

The Access Style Team jumped to action to help me. Fashion producer Susan called in favors to friends for dresses. Our fashion publicist friend Sara offered to loan me gowns and jewels. Maria's stylist Lindsay pulled dresses for me to try and is helping with shoes, purses, etc. Maria's glam squad, Tommy and Bret came up with a plan for how they would fix my hair and makeup. Since I have been staying home with the baby, I wouldn't have been able to do any of this without them!

At the fitting (the first I've had since being fitted for my wedding dress), I tried on a green Monique Lhuillier gown, a black Calvin Klein and a black strapless ball gown with a full skirt that Carrie Bradshaw would have died and gone to heaven over!

I fell in love with a very rock 'n roll dress by Lebanese designer Georges Hobeika. I tried on three of his couture gowns, which were very unique and very heavy due to all the beading involved. (Hey! I'm trying to shed the baby weight, not add pounds!) The gowns ranged in price from $5,000 to $20,000. I have never worn something so expensive in my life!

But thanks to the new "assets" that a baby and breast-feeding bring, I could not zip the sample size gowns up all the way. Sigh.

In all, I probably tried on at least ten gowns. Did I find my dream dress? No, not exactly. Being realistic, I understand I have to dress a body that's been through a lot and accept that I weigh a few pounds more and I don't have a flat stomach right now. (Although, I AM back in my pre-pregnancy skinny jeans, which is an encouraging sign!)

This was more about finding something that fits and something that I will be comfortable in. After all, this is a once in a lifetime experience, I don't want to be worrying about my cleavage or stomach the whole time.

Wish me luck - I'll share my red carpet experience next week!
