DJ AM To Be Welcomed Back To LA With Benefit Concert

DJ AM, whose real name is Adam Goldstein, will be honored next week at a benefit concert celebrating his LA homecoming after surviving a fatal plane crash that killed four others and left him and collaborator Travis Barker badly burned.

”[Adam] has been a close friend … for many years,” event organizers told Access Hollywood in a statement. “We owe him a debt of gratitude that we can never repay, but we hope this helps just a bit.”

The concert, set for Oct. 14 at the Avalon Hollywood, will feature performances from marquee DJs, including Mark Ronson, Steve Aoki, Danny Masterson and the Beastie Boys’ Mixmaster Mike. According to EW.com, in an LA rarity, there will be no guestlist for the event, which is open to the public. Tickets are available on Wantickets.com for $20, with proceeds going to the memorial funds established for the crash victims — pilots Sarah Lemmon and James Bland, and Chris Baker and Charles Still, who worked with the musicians.
