Conan O'Brien Lines Up Will Ferrell As First 'Tonight Show' Guest

Former "Saturday Night Live" funnyman-turned-box office star Will Ferrell will be the first guest on the couch when Conan O'Brien takes over the "Tonight Show" on June 1, NBC announced on Monday.

With Conan having moved from New York City to Los Angeles to host the late night program, it seems fitting that Will, who hails from Irvine in Orange County, Calif., will be his first guest. Will also appeared on the final "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" back in February.

The actor and comedian will be promoting his new film, "Land of the Lost," due out on June 5.

Additionally, NBC announced that Seattle rockers Pearl Jam will be the first musical guest on the show. The outfit will perform songs from their upcoming, as yet untitled studio album.

Conan will host the "Tonight Show" on Stage 1 on the Universal Studios lot.

Earlier this year, Conan said he was looking forward to his LA move, telling Access Hollywood's Billy Bush that great TV was in store for viewers.

"I think the LA chapter will be fascinating because man, am I fish out of water in Los Angeles and man, that could make some good television," he said.
