Colin Farrell Movie Shuts Down Parts of Rittenhouse

Expect street closures, detours as Philly goes Hollywood

Center City went Hollywood Wednesday as some major streets were shut down for a movie shoot.

The Colin Farrell-movie Dead Man Down shut down parts of Walnut and 17th Streets near Rittenhouse Square from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and the intermittent closures were set to also take place Thursday, Friday and Monday.

The film, which also stars local guy Terrence Howard, Dominic Cooper, Noomi Rapace and others star in the movie about a New City crime lord that is being shot in Philly.

Here are the streets affected by all-day shooting, according to Philadelphia Police:

Intermittent traffic closures:
•  17th Street to Walnut Street
•  Walnut Street-16th to 18th Streets 
 
Detour Routes:
•  North on 16th Street to Sansom Street
•  West on Sansom Street to 19th Street
•  South on 19th Street to Walnut Street
•  South on 15th Street to Spruce Street
•  West on Spruce Street to 18th Street
•  North on 18th Street to Walnut Street
