Stan Lee on the Spider Man Reboot, X-Men: First Class

Stan Lee, the former president of Marvel Comics and creator of some of the greatest comic book superheroes ever known, is enjoying the boom of superhero origin story films based on his work

"I thought the 'X-Men' origin was beautifully done," the 88-year-old Lee, in his trademark tinted aviator shades, said on the Golden Globes' red carpet on Sunday. "But I loved the' Spider Man' one. 'Iron Man.' You know, the problem is, I'm my biggest fan. Everything that's based on my stories, I love."

Should we be at all concerned that he didn't mention "Thor," which stars Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman and lands in theaters May 6?

Not so fast.

Lee admitted he tends to keep a healthy distance from the projects based on his source material. He said hasn't seen any of  "X-Men: First Class" yet.

"I butt out of the movies, except for my cameos," he said. "If they're good, I end up getting a lot of credit for it. If they're not good, hey, I had nothing to do with it. So I'm okay either way."

As for the Spider Man reboot, the comic creator has tremendous faith in the new leads, Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone.
