"Jeff, Who Lives at Home" Trailer Finds Jason Segel & Ed Helms Spying on Judy Greer

    "Five-Year Engagement"

Emily Blunt and Jason Segel star as a happy couple who learn the hard way that it is way easier to get engaged than it is to get married in this romcom written by "Muppets" co-writers Segel and Nicholas Stoller, the latter of whom also directed. Opens April 27, 2012. (Published Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011)

"Jeff, Who Lives at Home" is a film we've been itching to see since the buzz out of Toronto last year. Now that we've gotten our first look, the film's March 16 release can't come fast enough.

From the writing-directing team of Jay and Mark Duplass, the film stars Jason Segel as the titular 30-something, a man frozen by a perpetual existential crisis--or possibly just laziness. When his mother (Susan Sarandon) demands he leave the house on an errand, he runs into his brother Pat (Ed Helms), and together they discover that Pat's wife (Judy Greer) may be having an affair.

We dig that Segel has managed to find his way to the A-list while continuing to do smaller films like this one. We're happy to see that Helms appears to be stretching himself beyond his go-to man-child persona. And what are the odds that Greer would appear in consecutive films in which she's spied on from behind a row of bushes by a man who suspects his wife of cheating? (That's almost as crazy as two movies in one month having posters featuring the star with cash taped to their torso--bananas!)

We loved the Duplass brothers' 2010 film, "Cyrus," which starred Jonah Hill as a 20-something living at home with his mother, played by Marisa Tomei, the two of them winding up in a demented love triangle with John C. Reilly. That said, we hope their next film doesn't center around a 40-something who lives at home with his mother.

With their old studio in danger of being taken away by a nasty oil tycoon, the Muppets throw a fundraiser with the help three humans to buy it back. Starring Jason Segel, Amy Adams, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, opens Nov. 23.
