Halladay MLB Bobblehead Is Terrible, Awkward

...and left-handed!?!

I consider myself a connoisseur of sorts when it comes to bobbleheads. I like to write about them. A lot. Or maybe I'm just weird and obsessed with them. (I even have a bobblehead of myself, Mrs. Brinson loves me so much.)

Whatever, the point being is that I know a great bobblehead when I see one. And I know a bad bobblehead when I see one. And the Roy Halladay bobblehead that Doc-centric Phillies blog Zoo With Roy found earlier Thursday is an absolute abomination.

So much of an abomination that MLB.com has since pulled it from the virtual shelves that encompass the MLB online store. (It used to live here.)

Why did they do that? Well, for starters, it looks nothing like Doc Halladay. The "Sling Blade" reference from ZWR is pretty hard to top. Does Mark Wahlberg have dentures and a chin strap? Because that would also be OK.

Oh yes, and he's THROWING WITH THE WRONG HAND.

Actually, I don't even think he's throwing with the wrong hand so much as Bobblehead Roy appears to be playing baseball for the first time in his life. Otherwise there's no real way to explain why he would have the mechanics of a right-handed pitcher, wear his glove on his right hand anyway, and throw with his left hand.

The irony, of course, is that everyone wishes they'd bought one now that it's no longer available.
