Harry K Statue to be Unveiled in August

The statue will be unveiled before the Phillies play the nationals on August 14.

The bronze, seven and half foot statue of the late Harry Kalas is set to be unveiled on Sunday, August 14, before the Phillies play the nationals, according to delcotimes.com.

The times is reporting that the statue will be located behind the flag pole, in left field, near Harry the K's restaurant at Citizens Bank Park.

Kalas was a longtime Phillies broadcaster and was a huge staple in the city.

The statue was sculpted by Larry Nowlan and was largely paid for by fans. It is their way of honoring the man they loved so much.

Earlier this year, the Phillies announced they would accept the statue, but it was not known when it would be unveiled.
