Kolb, Bradley Healthy, Will Return Next Week: Eagles

The Michael Vick era in Philly looks like it will be lasting just one week.

It looks like the man Vick replaced behind center is already healthy following a concussion and should be ready to soar in Jacksonville.

Kevin Kolb And Stew Bradley will be back next week. They passed doctors’ tests,” tweeted Sports Final’s Howard Eskin.

The Eagles backed up the report on the franchise's Facebook page.

It’s great news that both Kolb and Bradley will be back in uniform for Week 3 after both missing Week 2 following first half concussions in the opener against Green Bay. And, it should be interesting to see how their replacements Vick and LB Omar Gaither perform in their absences.

Gaither likely will easily step aside for Bradley. But, if Vick lights it up Sunday against the Lions than it could be a tough call for coach Andy Reid to pull the mobile Vick and replace him with the less mobile Kolb.

But, when this team traded away Donovan McNabb they made a commitment to Kolb being the future. One problem: they didn’t make a commitment to solidifying the offensive front. Add in the season-ending injury to center Jamaal Jackson and the Birds signal caller – whoever it is – will be playing behind an offensive line that has plenty of holes.

For now expect Vick’s second chance to start in the NFL to last just one week.
