Philly’s New National Champs!

Philly has a new National Championship team. In 1999, Philadelphia's Work to Ride polo team became the first African American polo team in the nation, and this year they won the High School Boys National Championship. NBC10 Photojournalist Gary Watson followed the Cowtown team into their historic win.

In 2005, the team won the Eastern Regional Interscholastic Polo tournament.

And in March, 2011 the Cowtown/Work to Ride team won the 42nd annual 42nd annual USPA National Interscholastic Championship tournament.

Cowtown beat Baltimore 24-17 in the championship game.
