A tornado watch is in effect in the local area until 6 p.m. Tuesday, meteorologists say.
The tornado threat does not come as a bog surprise, as a tornado touched down in Chester County Monday afternoon.
With the threat of tornados comes rain showers and some severe thunderstorms this afternoon. The high temperatures will reach 78 degrees as winds blow from the south at in at 15 miles per hour.
Thunderstorms are likely tonight as the winds slow down to 7 mph. Temperatures will reach a low of 61 degrees.
