Snow to Dust New Jersey

Forecasters predict New Jersey will get an early taste of winter, with light snow predicted to fall over parts of the state.

Arctic air is expected to drop temperatures across the state Thursday and Friday.

The National Weather Service is forecasting a period of snow between 8 p.m. Thursday and 1 a.m. Friday that could leave a dusting to an inch of snow in Sussex, Warren, Morris, Hunterdon, Somerset counties.

Forecasters say the greatest accumulations are possible at the higher elevations north of Interstate 78.

A dusting also is possible in Middlesex, western Monmouth, Mercer, Salem, Gloucester, Camden and northwest Burlington counties.

Because temperatures are expected to be near freezing, motorists may face icy driving conditions on Friday morning.
