Snow Could Slow Thanksgiving Travel in New Jersey, Poconos

New Jersey's taste of spring is not expected to last long.

Temperatures near 70 on Monday could give way to snow that could snarl the Thanksgiving holiday getaway in parts of the state on Wednesday.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch from Wednesday morning through Thanksgiving morning for Passaic, western Essex, Sussex, Warren and Morris counties.

The same Watch also covers parts of Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains including Jim Thorpe.

Forecasters said between 4 to 10 inches of heavy snow could fall Wednesday, particularly in northeast New Jersey and north of the Interstate 80 corridor.

The precipitation could start as a rain snow mix before it changes over to all snow Wednesday.
