An expected midweek snowfall which was primed to bring light snow to Philadelphia region, is looking less impressive this morning but that doesn't mean you won't see snow -- just not a lot of it, according to the NBC10 First Alert Weather Team.
Two systems will likely bring light snow today and then again tomorrow. By 7 a.m. it was already snowing in parts of Delaware.
Some scattered snow showers moved into parts of Pennsylvania and South Jersey. The snow should taper off to light scattered showers this afternoon.
The light snow could bring some snow as far north as the Poconos but should be most impressive in Delaware and South Jersey -- with up to 1 inch possible over the two-day period in places like Dover, Del., according to NBC10 First Alert Weather meteorologist Bill Henley.
Temps should hover in the low 30s through the day and a flurry or snow shower is possible later in the day.
Another system should bring light snow again during Wednesday mornin's rush. The system, set arrive early Wednesday morning, was supposed to form from two other pieces of moisture -- one from the north and another from the south -- said NBC10 First Alert chief meteorologist Glenn "Hurricane" Schwartz.
But, Hurricane said that new data suggests its getting less likely that will happen. There could however be a burst of heavier snow Wednesday.
Bill said some areas may no longer even see accumulations while other should see around a dusting to an inch.
Behind the precipitation will come more frigid air. Hurricane says temperatures on Friday will hover around 27 degrees and could feel even lower thanks to the wind chill. That arctic air could last into the first week of March.
