It would be nice to be an Eagle, heading to Phoenix Friday where it will be 72 degrees this afternoon. But, we're here in Philly "pheeling" the bitter temps-- the most frigid temps we've seen in years.

Friday morning, temperatures were falling with readings in the teens.  It was only 14 degrees in Philadelphia, 15 degrees in the Northeast, 9 in Doylestown, and -3 in Mount Pocono.

The wind chill made it feel like 0 or below in our area-- 0 in Trenton, and -1 degree in Wilmington.

Wind Chills will drop below zero again tonight.  In the Poconos a wind chill advisory remains in effect meaning the chill should drop down between 10 and 20 degrees below zero.

Across the Philadelphia are and suburbs temperatures into the single digits with clear skies are expected.  Even though there will be less wind, with the temperature colder tonight than Thursday night, the wind chill should be just as cold.

Saturday and mainly Sunday warmer air will return to the area.  Can't exactly call it warm, but at least the temperature might be able to climb into the 30s by the end of the weekend.

There is light snow in the forecast both Sunday night and early Monday as a quick moving storm moves by to our north.  Accumulations should be light, but with the ground so cold it will not take long for a light snow to coat the ground.  Just a small amount could make travel difficult.

After the snow moves out the temperatures will not drop dramatically, but it will still be cold with highs stuck in the 30s.

Friday morning the cold weather caused some trouble on the roads, as well.  There were several watermain breaks due to cold weather in Prospect Park, Delaware County, Lower Merion Twp and Upper Moreland Twp,  Montgomery County.
