A Freeze Warning and a Frost Advisory are in effect again after light snow fell in our area. NBC10 First Alert Weather meteorologist Brittney Shipp has the forecast. (Published Monday, Oct. 19, 2015)

Light snow fell in parts of the area Sunday as the region awoke to more cold weather.

NBC10 viewers sent in a video and a picture of light snow in Brookhaven, Delaware County and Downingtown, Chester County.

After a cold Saturday and Sunday, overnight into Monday morning will be even colder with temperatures in the mid 20s to the low 30s throughout the region. Another Frost Advisory and Freeze Warning was in effect until 9 a.m. Monday for most of the region, including western Ocean, Cumberland and Atlantic counties, southeastern Burlington, Berks, Lehigh and Northampton counties, and western Chester, Montgomery and Upper Bucks counties.

It will stay chilly Monday night for the Eagles game, with temperatures reaching only into the 50s during the day and dropping to the 40s quickly by kickoff.

A Freeze Warning means sub-freezing temperatures, conditions that will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation, are imminent or highly likely.  A Frost Advisory means frost is expected and sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.

Mild air will return to the area Tuesday causing temperatures to rise. Tuesday we'll see a high of 67 and temperatures will reach 72 degrees Wednesday.
The weather wasn't completely gloomy during the weekend. On Sunday a rainbow was spotted in various parts of the area.
