The heavy rain is causing major flooding in our area forcing road closures and transit delays.
Road Closures in Pennsylvania:
Montgomery County:
- River Road at Collegeville Road in Lower Providence
- Skippack Pike between Cross Road and Plank Road
- Plank Road Bridge over Perkiomen Creek
- Thomas Road between Jackson and Kottler Drives
- Mathers Lane at Skippack Pike
- W. Valley Green Road between Stenton Avenue and Cricket Road and beween Cricket Road and Iron Bridge
- Stenton Avenue between Cricket Road and Mill
Philadelphia County:
- Lincoln Drive at Rittenhouse
- MLK Drive Closed in both directions between Sweet Briar and Falls Bridge Road
- Kelly Drive closed from Strawberry Mansion Bridge to Boathouse Row
- Area around 24th and Cherry Streets
Chester County:
Route 926, Route 82, Route 1 and Route 1 Bypass, Route 30 Bypass, Route 401, Route 841, Route 322, Route 23, Route 272

Transportation and Transit
SEPTA:
Service on SEPTA's Regional Rail is also affected by flooding. The Manayunk/Norristown Regional Rail Line has resumed to Miquon only because of track flooding. Also, inbound service at the Claymont Station of the Wilmington/Newark Line was also suspened.
SEPTA is also advising that all Regional Rail travelers should expect some delays.
Road Closures in New Jersey:
Burlington County:
- New Jersey Route 73 – shut down in both directions – from N Stiles Avenue to E Main Street in Maple Shade.
Camden County:
- 676 South at Atlantic Avenue in Camden closed in both directions
- Brooklawn Circle - Turkey Trot Road between Brooklawn and Guinea Lane
NJ Transit River Line trains could also be experiencing delays.
NJ Transit also is cross-honoring tickets across the system.
Closures in Delaware:
Wilmington:
The following roads were closed overnight.
- Southbridge sections of New Castle Avenue
- 1300 block E. 12th Street (impacting access to I-495)
- S. Market Street and S. Walnut Street south of A. Street
- 1200 and 1300 blocks of Northeast Boulevard and surrounding blocks east to N. Claymont Street and west to Locust Street
- Northpark Drive west of N. Market Street
