It's bad enough every summer the ride to the shore turns into a slow crawl as the thermostat goes up. But now, those staying away from the beaches and going to summer concerts will join their shore brethren in the traffic nightmare.

Concert goers from Philly headed to the Camden Waterfront should consider routes other than the Ben Franklin Bridge, the Delaware River Port Authority told Philly.com.

Summer construction on the bridge will require lane closures, during the week and on weekends, and traffic will also be affected by roadway projects in Camden, they added.

The DRPA suggest using alternate routes such as the Walt Whitman Bridge or the Riverlink Ferry.

We suggest to the DRPA finishing bridgework in the off-season.
