I-76 Westbound Reopened After Crash

I-76 westbound has reopened at I-476 after an accident occurred Friday just before noon.

I-76 westbound at I-476 has reopened after being shut down due to an accident.

Just before noon on Friday, a multi-vehicle crash closed the westbound lanes of the Schuylkill Expressway near the King of Prussia mall.

One tractor-trailer and at least two vehicles were involved. One person was killed and two people were injured.

The crash happened around noon, right by the new exit ramps on I-76 that were set to open. The two ramps connect westbound drivers to South Henderson and South Gulph Mills Road.

One man who witnessed the accident spoke to NBC 10.

"When I drove past here I saw the gentleman in his car right there and he was bleeding out of his mouth and out of his nose and he wasn't conscious," said the man. "When I got out of the car a few other people had already pulled over right behind me and we all went out to try and help the guy out."
