The death of a teenage girl on her way to school has officials looking into possible changes.
Vineland officials are reviewing school bus routes after a student was struck and killed.
Alexa Strittmatter, 14, was crossing the Street on her way to her bus stop when she was hit by two cars on Oct. 30.
Mayor Ruben Bermudez told The Press of Atlantic City the review seeks to determine hazardous routes and aims to improve student safety.
The mayor says the city also will seek federal grants to finance safety upgrades including signs, crosswalks and traffic signals.
Strittmatter was crossing Main Road near Elmer Road in the Cumberland County town when she was hit by a 2003 Chevy Impala traveling northbound, Vineland Police said.
The teen was then hit by a second car, a 2005 Toyota Camry, traveling southbound along Main Road. Police say both vehicles stopped at the scene.

Strittmatter was rushed to Inspira Medical Center where she died of her injuries, police said.
Neither driver was charged.
Strittmatter was a 9th grade honor student at Vineland High School North.
"She had her whole life ahead of her," said Juliet Brown, a friend of Alexa. "She was perfect and everybody loved her. It's not fair."
