Route 422 Open After Road Bucklings

A traffic mess to start the weekend in Montgomery Co.

A traffic nightmare for motorists on one of the hottest days of the year.

The left lane of eastbound Route 422 in Montgomery County was closed just before 3 p.m. after part of the road buckled.

The left lane from Country Club Road to the Trappe/Royersford exit in Limerick Township were closed until around 6:30 p.m. so that crews could finish repairs.

The fix wasn't the end of problems.

Around 8:30 p.m. part of westbound Route 422 buckled in the same area of the earlier problem, according to PennDot.

One lane was closed so crews could fix the road. The road finally reopened around 11:10 p.m., PennDot said.
