Overturned Tanker Shuts Down NJ Turnpike SB

November 2, 2011: An overturned tanker truck shut down the southbound lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike between Route 40 and I-295 in Carneys Point.

A tanker truck overturned, shutting down the southbound lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike in Salem County on Wednesday afternoon.

The accident shut down the SB lanes of the NJ Turnpike between Route 40 and I-295 shortly before 3 p.m.

No one was hurt.

Cleanup took a couple hours and by 5 p.m. all lanes in both directions on the Turnpike and 295 were reopened, according to officials.
