Major traffic problems are clearing up for Schuylkill commuters. The 476 ramp onto 76 West is open again after hazmat crews cleaned a spill and moved an overturned tractor-trailer.

A truck hauling hazardous chemicals overturned Tuesday afternoon, spilling hydrochloric acid onto the road. Hazmat crews said there was not health threat to anyone in the area, but the clean-up was a "delicate matter."

Crews uprighted the big right and were re-opening the Matsonford Road ramp to I-76 West and the I-476 North ramp to West I-76. That's where the truck was located.

Here are some detours to consider if you want to get around the backups in that area.
