A deadly crash between a sedan and bed truck closed a Chester County road Friday afternoon and claimed the life of an elderly Downingtown woman.
The crash happened right around noon along the 300 block of Commerce Drive in Exton, Pennsylvania.
The crash left Mary Beth Smith, 78, of Downingtown dead, and two hurt, according to West Whiteland Township Police.
Investigators didn’t say which vehicle each person was in at the time of the wreck.
The sedan suffered major front-end damage in the wreck and emergency responders could be seen using a sheet while removing a body from the car.
The road remained closed for at least two hours as investigators worked to find out what led to the crash.
