Deadly King of Prussia Crash Investigation Continues

    The deadly crash left Eric Kiefer dead and Schuylkill River Road in King of Prussia closed for hours. (Published Friday, Dec. 26, 2014)

    Authorities identified the box truck driver, who was hurt Friday when a motorcyclist crossed the yellow line, slammed into the truck and died.

    Thirty-year-old Mohamed Ba, of Philadelphia, was heading southbound on Schuylkill River Road (Route 23) in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania around 5:15 p.m. when Eric Kiefer, 50, hit the truck head-on, police said.

    Kiefer, of Conshocken, died instantly, officials said.

    Medics airlifted Ba to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvani with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

    The cause of the collisiion, which shut down the roadway for about four hours Friday night, is still under investigation.

    Authorities asked anyone who might have witnessed the crash to call police at 610-265-3232.
