Coroner Identifies 2 Women Killed in Head-on Crash

Authorities have identified two women killed in a head-on crash on an eastern Pennsylvania road.

The crash was reported shortly before 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in Lynn Township, Lehigh County, Pa.

Coroner Scott Grim identified the drivers who died as 60-year-old Amy Mende of Kempton and 71-year-old Sylvia Koenig of New Tripoli.

Both women died of multiple blunt force injuries. Grim ruled the deaths accidents.

State police and the coroner's office are investigating the cause of the crash.
