Deadly New Jersey Transit Bus, Car Crash Along Atlantic City Expressway

    An unidentified driver died after rear-ending a New Jersey Transit bus on the Atlantic City Expressway near Pleasantville on Monday. (Published Monday, Dec. 12, 2016)

    A collision along the Atlantic City Expressway left one person dead and caused traffic troubles along the busy roadway Monday morning.

    A driver slammed his or her Honda into the back of a New Jersey Transit Route 507 bus in the westbound lanes near milepost 3.6 in Pleasantville around 4:50 a.m., said New Jersey State Police.

    One person in the car died, said police.

    No customers were on the bus at the time as the driver was taking the vehicle back to the Egg Harbor Garage, said state police. The bus driver didn't suffer any injuries, said police.

    Police didn’t say if wet roads impacted the crash.
