As the Phillies get ready for another exciting playoff run, SEPTA got ready for more express trains to make sure fans get to the stadium.

SEPTA announced Monday that they will offer extra service to fans looking for an easy way to get to the ballpark.

The first pitch of the National League Division Series against the Colorado Rockies gets thrown at 2:37 p.m. on Wednesday and SEPTA’s ready for the midday hustle. SEPTA will run the Sports Express on the Broad Street Line to transport legions of Phillies faithful to their destination at Citizens Bank Ballpark in time for the game.

In addition to regularly scheduled service, SEPTA will run two extra Sports Express trains starting about an hour before game time and again leading up to the game.

The Sports Express takes only eight minutes to reach the Pattison Avenue station from City Hall, so you’re guaranteed to make the game in good time.

Not only is it speedy, the Sports Express is cheap s well -- a round-trip to and from the ballpark costs only $2.90, SEPTA said.

Fans will also be pleased to find trains waiting to take them home at the Pattison Ave station as soon as the last out is recorded.

Does it get any more convenient?

And hopefully SEPTA will be offering plenty of extra trains as the Phillies playoff run continues.
