Amtrak Trains Running on Single Track

Power problems led to travel delays for riders along the Northeast Corrider Tuesday.

All westbound and southbound Amtrak trains were held for a short time at New York's Penn Station due to electrical problems.

Officials say the problem was due to electrical system issues in the Trenton, N.J. area. Amtrak even tweeted a photo of crews working to fix the problem.

Around 9:30 a.m., train service resumed but only on a single track each direction.

The issue also halted trains on SEPTA's Trenton Regional Rail Line.

The delays came as a dangerously cold arctic blast left much of the northeast corridor dealing with single temps.
