Alison at Blue Bell re-opens tonight after almost five months of renovations that gave the restaurant complete make-over from top to bottom. Even the most tried-and-true regulars won't recognize the place!
Chef Anthony Bonett has changed the menu slightly, with dishes that reflect his Mediterranean background. Spotlighted in particular on the new menu is his homemade pasta. Other dishes worth mentioning include Shellfish Risotto, Spanish Octopus with Potato, Chili Peppers, Scallions and Smoked Paprika Aioli and a Pork Chop Milanese. The atmosphere promises to be more casual, and prices will top out around $22. Diners will be able to choose from an expanded wine and beer list to wash it all down.
Other changes promised, like the restaurant finally taking credit cards and the ability to make reservations via Open Table, have yet to be implemented. Make reservations now for their Valentine's Day $50 three-course prix fixe. The restaurant will be open for dinner only Thursday through Saturday nights.
