Even though women do most of the cooking at home, it's still a man's world when it comes to professional restaurant kitchens, with the dudes in aprons hogging the lion's share of the attention. Exhibit A: four "Top Chef" male winners to one female winner. Exhibit B: no Stephen Starr restaurant has a female executive chef.

Still, Philly has some smokin' hot lady chefs and they're doing their part to make sure even more women get into the game with a cocktail party scholarship fundraiser at Bluebell's Alison two on Sunday, June 7 at 6 p.m.

The area's top female chefs including Marcie Turney of Lolita and Bindi, Alison Barshak of Alison two and Alison at Blue Bell, Moon Krapugthong of Chabaa Thai Bistro and MangoMoon in Manayunk, plus baker extraordinaire Amy Beth Edelman of the Night Kitchen Bakery and chocolatier Kira Baker-Doyle of John & Kira's chocolates are each preparing a dish for the event. Alison two will create a cocktail to pair with each one.

$55 gets you in the door to try the food and includes tax, tip and a donation to Les Dames D'Escoffier, a "prestigious international organization of  women of accomplishment in food, wine and hospitality,' which gives out scholarships to young women who want to study the culinary arts and hopefully kick some butt on "Top Chef" some day.

For tickets, call 215-591-0200 by Wednesday, June 3.
