Fine cuisine from one of Philly finest chefs and fine beer from one of America's finest brewers will be on the menu at JG Domestic for one night only.
Chef Jose Garces and master brewer Phil Leinhart of New York’s Ommegang Brewery will combine their culinary talents for a special Beer Dinner at the Cira Centre eatery next month.
“I can’t think of a better place to spotlight domestic beer than at JG Domestic, my ode to extraordinary American products of all kinds,” Garces says.
The reservation-only beer dinner will consist of a $75 four-course meal including items from the JG Domestic menu paired with a selection Ommegang Brewery’s most popular beers. The food selection ranges from foie gras, little neck clams, slow-roasted lamb and chocolate beignets.
Guests will also get professional advice on food and beer pairings from Garces and Leinhart throughout their meal.
The restaurant has already received the Three Bells award from The Philadelphia Inquirer and a special mention in The New York Times feature on Philadelphia dining after opening in late 2010.
“We hope this exciting dinner will be the first of many collaborations with craft brewers who devote as much energy as we do to creating superlative food and drink,” explains Garces.
