Food from local food trucks, fall beers and live music equals the perfect recipe for Bloktoberfest.
The day-long festival will be held on Saturday, October 16 on Christian Street between 20th and 21st Street from noon until 8 p.m.
Bloktoberfest is featuring 11 different breweries and three different beers from each and that means 33 beers on tap for a full eight hours -- now that's some serious tasting.
And because beer tasting is bound to work up a hefty appetites, attendees can chow down on some goodies from Philly’s most delicious food trucks. From tacos to authentic Korean and Japanese, Bloktoberfest will have it all.
Six local bands and one traveling all the way from London will be performing throughout the day. In between gigs DJ Handsome Sam will be on the turntables.
To drink at the event the purchase of a beer pass is necessary. Beer passes are available for $10 if bought in advance or $12 at the event. The beer pass is good for three 12 oz. drinks and a Bloktoberfest beer stein. Passes can be purchased on the Bloktoberfest website.
