Maybe it’s the bad news we’re bombarded with constantly, but comfort food is in these days. And the king of comfort food—don’t you dare argue—is macaroni and cheese.
The Beer Lass has a little item up about what we’re being told is a mac’n’cheese competition, to be held Wednesday, April 1, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Pub on Passyunk East (1501 E. Passyunk Ave.).
Cooks from breweries including Nodding Head, Victory, Dock Street, Sly Fox, Dogfish Head and Yards will set up shop in the POPE’s back dining room, where attendees can samples the cheesy recipes—all of which should include beer from each brewer.
