On Sunday, be ready to eat as chefs from R2L, Alfa, Square 1682 and more compete to make the best Philly cheesesteak.
Your stomach better be ready (tastings are unlimited) for Square 1682's 3rd-Annual Cheesesteak Challenge βHigh Steaksβ Block Party along Samson Street near Rittenhouse Square.
It's from 2 to 5 p.m. as hundreds of eaters as well as some celebrity judges, including Tony Luke himself, try and judge the steaks. The challenge is for the chefs to bring home the Peoples' Choice Award and other recognitions.
The cost for the public is $25 a person and includes water and two beers. CityEats.com, though, has a special offering tickets for just $17.
Donβt want to miss the Eagles game? There will be televisions so you can root on the Birds while enjoying an amazing cheesesteak. Victory beer will also be on sale.
Some proceeds from the event support Philadelphia Academies, which is dedicated to helping expand options for city public schoolers.
